About St. Barnabas Senior Living Services

St. Barnabas Senior Living Services assists independence through our trendsetting approaches for short-term patients while promoting a gracious living environment for our independent, assisted living, and long-term residents. For more than 40 years, St. Barnabas has remained committed to a patient-oriented and resident-centered philosophy as Chattanooga's only independent, non-profit continuing care retirement community.

Offering senior healthcare services on two downtown campuses, we are easily accessible to all of southeastern Tennessee and northwest Georgia. However, our clientele come from all walks of life and many different parts of the country.

St. Barnabas is a total senior continuum of care. Our new skilled nursing facility in Chattanooga's critical medical community (near Erlanger) has108-beds. We provide skilled nursing services for long-term residents as well as hospice care for the terminally ill. In addition, our comprehensive rehabilitation therapy team of physical, occupational, and speeach therapists is successfully transitioning short-term patients to home. We are fully licensed and certified for Medicare and Medicaid coverage. St. Barnabas also has a 24-bed assisted living unit and 91 independent retirement apartments on our original campus just a few blocks from the city center. Downtown restaurants, shopping, theaters, and churches are just a short walk away for St. Barnabas apartment residents.  Recreational activities are provided daily with additional services that include podiatry and beautician services.
