Free Pedestrian Safety Lunch and Learn to be Held April 6
Pedestrian Safety Workshop: A Focus on Older Adults Wednesday, April 6th, 11:00am – 2:30pm Brainerd Recreation Center: 1010 North Moore Road Many communities are interested in becoming more pedestrian-friendly. Older adults need to have the option to walk for errands, health benefits, socializing and other purposes. However, older pedestrians are at greater risk of injury or death than many other age groups. Older adults, service providers and community members are invited to attend a free workshop to discuss pedestrian safety. We will address pedestrian safety issues that older adults face and provide strategies for safer walking. The workshop will include an observational walk to apply what you learn. Lunch will be provided. *Registration is required by calling 643-7880 or emailing kassi@outdoorchattanooga.com Presented by the Outdoor Chattanooga and the Active Living & Transportation Network |
