Alexian Brothers Senior Ministries to Offer Free Income Tax Preparation for Seniors

As a service to Chattanooga area seniors, Alexian Brothers Senior Ministries and VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance), through a partnership with the Urban League, are providing free income tax preparation services free of charge at two locations.

Alexian Brothers Senior Neighbors at 250 E. 10^th Street in downtown Chattanooga: Tuesdays and Fridays through April 12 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please call (423) 755-6100 for an appointment.

Alexian Brothers Senior Neighbors Soddy-Daisy Community Center at 190 Depot Street in Soddy-Daisy: Tuesdays through April 12 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Please call (423) 332-1702 for an appointment.

VITA offers free income tax preparation service to those who earn up to $50,000 a year. Volunteers are IRS certified.

Senior Neighbors, one of nine area Alexian Brothers ministries, is celebrating its 50th year of serving Chattanooga. Senior Neighbors provides job and volunteer training, as well as social, mental, spiritual and physical opportunities for people over 50. Membership is just $25 a year.
