Tim Conway, the comedian best known for his 11-year stint on TV’s Carol Burnett Show, recreates his best loved stories and classic sketches in a hilarious evening of live entertainment when Tim Conway & Friends, featuring Chuck McCann and Louise DuArt, comes to the Tivoli Theatre on February 22, 2011 at 7:00 pm (EST). His inventive, often improvised humor, razor-sharp timing and hilarious characters have made him one of the funniest and most authentic performers of the last 40 years, winning him five Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe, a much deserved star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, and industry accolades spanning the world of TV, film, stage and live touring.
Friends joining Tim Conway in Chattanooga include Chuck McCann, a third generation performer who has conquered every medium of the entertainment industry – starring in film, television, recordings, stage, and as a man of close to 1,000 voices in the world of animation and commercials – and Louise DuArt, the hilarious impressionist who toured for eight years with Tim Conway and his dearly departed cohort Harvey Korman in a show that played over 500 performances across the country.
“Sketch comedy requires a comedian who can not only deliver funny lines,” says the veteran funnyman, “but one who can also fill a stage with comedic acting. That’s why these two are by my side in our show, Tim Conway & Friends.”
Conway recreates the vertically-challenged Dorf character, ages himself for the Old Man sketch, does some wacky onstage dental work and gives people what he calls “an evening of good old-fashioned comedy where you can enjoy the show and laugh with the whole family.”
Tickets are priced at $47.50 and $57.50, and may be purchased at the Memorial Auditorium Box Office, by calling (423) 757-5050 or online at www.ChattanoogaOnStage.com. Tickets go on sale Friday, November 12, at 10:00 am (EST).
