Senior Neighbors AARP 55 Alive Safe Drivers Class
Senior Neighbors, an Alexian Brothers ministry, is scheduled to host an AARP refresher course on driver safety in an effort to help seniors stay safe on the road. The class will be held Thursday, January 21, 2010 at the Alexian Brothers Senior Neighbors building in downtown Chattanooga. The AARP Driver Safety Program is the nation's first and largest refresher course of its kind. The course will cover a variety of important topics, including how seniors can enhance their driving skills and update their knowledge on current rules of the road. Attendees will learn how they can reduce their risks of receiving traffic violations, crashes and chances for injuries. Senior drivers going through normal age-related physical changes will learn how to adjust their driving to help keep them safe. Senior Neighbors welcomes all interested seniors, age 50 and older, to sign up for this upcoming class, which is expected to fill up quickly. The course will be held at the Alexian Brothers Senior Neighbors building on the corner of 10th and Houston streets in downtown Chattanooga from 9AM to 5PM on Thursday, January 21. Attendees are asked to bring a bag lunch. The cost to attend is $12 for AARP members and $14 for non members. To register call (423) 755-6100.
