Lone Oak Community Christmas Dinner Is Dec. 6

There will be no First Saturday breakfast in December at the Lone Oak Community Center. Instead volunteers are preparing for the annual community Christmas covered dish dinner, which will be held Sunday, Dec. 6, beginning at 1 p.m.

Those attending, in addition to their covered dish, are to bring canned food (no glass containers) and toys for the Lone Oak Volunteer Fire Department to use in the many boxes they will be delivering to needy families in the Lone Oak community this Christmas.

The Christmas program will include fellowship, Christmas carols and many door prizes. Among these will be a beautiful quilt (Path to the Cabin) which has been quilted by the Lone Oak Seniors.
