ALEXIAN BROTHERS VALLEY RESIDENCE AND ALEXIAN INN IMPLEMENT INNOVATIVE COMPUTER SYSTEM
(Chattanooga, TN) – Alexian Brothers Senior Ministries is proud to announce the implementation of the CareTracker system, an innovative touch-screen computer software program designed specifically for long-term care centers, at Alexian Brothers Valley Residence and Alexian Inn. The CareTracker system enables the electronic tracking and documentation of each resident’s individual progress in regards to care, therapy, activity, and nutrition. By reducing the time typically allocated to paperwork, Alexian Brothers Valley Residence and Alexian Inn nurses and caregivers have now increased the time spent administering direct care to residents. In addition, the CareTracker system has helped staff members identify potential health problems before they occur, and resolve those issues proactively. According to Alexian Brothers Valley Residence Executive Director, Janie Stone, “The CareTracker system has allowed our staff to focus their entire attention to what they do best – caring for our residents. The task of filling out paperwork has been alleviated and the time we spend interacting with residents has increased. The CareTracker system has also improved our ability to have a more complete understanding of each resident’s unique needs.” One of the other nine area Alexian Brothers Senior Ministries, Alexian Brothers Health and Rehabilitation Center, also utilizes the CareTracker system.
