Free Diabetes Workshop

Alexian Brothers Senior Ministries and Healthcare Education Resources and Outreach will present a series of classes on diabetes management tips on Thursdays, September 1 through October 6 (except September 15) from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Alexian Brothers Senior Neighbors Soddy-Daisy Senior Center, located at 190 Depot Street. Book Club

Alexian Brothers Senior Ministries hosts a book club on the third Tuesday of each month (September 20) at 12 p.m. at Alexian Brothers Senior Neighbors, located at 250 E. 10^th Street in Chattanooga. AARP Safe Drivers Class

Alexian Brothers Senior Ministries will host an AARP Safe Drivers Class on Thursday, September 22 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Alexian Brothers Senior Neighbors, located at 250 E. 10^th Street in downtown Chattanooga. Attendees are encouraged to bring a bag lunch. The cost to attend is $14. AARP members will receive a $2 discount. Call (423) 755-6100 to register.

The AARP Driver Safety Program is the nation's first and largest refresher course of its kind. Many insurance companies offer a discount to those who complete the course. Course participants should check with their insurance company to learn if a discount is available.

Free Ballroom Dance Party

Alexian Brothers Senior Ministries hosts a Ballroom Dance Party on the fourth Thursday of each month (September 22) at 7 p.m. at the Alexian Brothers Senior Neighbors building at 250 E. 10^th Street, Chattanooga. Alexian Brothers Senior Ministries and Hospice of Chattanooga offer a Bereavement Support Group meeting on the last Monday of each month (September 26) from 12 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the first floor parlor of Alexian Village, located at 437 Alexian Way in Signal Mountain. Ballroom Dance Lessons

Intermediate ballroom dance classes are held each Wednesday at 10 a.m. and a new 10-week session of beginning ballroom dance classes will be offered each Wednesday at 11 a.m. Class registration and tuition is required. Line Dance Classes

Biloxi Trip

Alexian Brothers Senior Ministries will host a five day/four night trip to Biloxi, Mississippi on October 24 through 28. The trip will include motor coach transportation, lodging at a Casino Hotel, eight meals, a guided tour of St. Louis and a day trip to New Orleans. Cost is $379 per person for a double room.
